Global Administration
Using the Label Manager Custom Field Type
You can create Label Manager items to be used for all projects (globally) or you can create them for a specific project.
Add global Label Manager item(s)
As Jira Administrator: Settings → Apps → 'Label Manager - Global Settings'
Select the Label Manager custom field you want to configure → Click Select
Decide what 'Label Color Setting' the field should use. For more details check Label Color Documentation
Add one or multiple label at once using the text input field: Add label item(s)
Use a comma and space seperated list to add multiple label items at once. Example:
label1, label2, label3
Filter, Rename, Merge and Delete Global Label Items
Updating Global Label Items will update the label item on every issue that it is selected as long as the project is using global configuration (default).
This will trigger the “Update Issue” event and Jira will sent Emails based on Notification settings.
The updating task may continue in the background if too many issues (>1000) need to be updated.
Filter Global Label Item
Use the free text search field to filter the displayed label items.
Fuzzy search is enabled to assist you in finding related labels.
Example: ‘label’ finds ‘lable’, ‘Lale’
The search is case insensitive and will return labels even if you only search for parts of the label.
Example
Search text: ‘sydney’ will return label ‘Sydney-Team
Notes
